In
January of
2009, we
received a frantic call from a local Wal-Mart manager who described
their
problem as multiple roof leaks throughout their 200,000 square foot
store. We
immediately dispatched a manager and emergency crews to access and take
immediate action. Upon arrival we noticed that the roof contained
almost
14" of rapidly melting snow and ice which had no where to go but inside
the store. There was over 100 severe leaks into entire store, storage
areas and
management offices. ServiceMaster immediately coordinated the snow and
ice
removal from the 200,000 square foot roof which took more than 15
technicians,
and over 300 man-hours to complete. As the roof work was being handled
we also
began the tedious task of extracting, mopping, wiping and drying the
water
intrusion which continued to leak in for 5 more days. Our team provided
round
the clock service to our Wal-Mart customer until finally the leaks had
stopped,
the roof was clear and the building was completely dry.
